Parents and other residents in the Gainesville R-V School District will have an opportunity to tour current facilities and learn more about next week’s election. According to the Ozark County Times, the Gainesville School Board will host an informational open house Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 at the high school campus.

Gainesville School District voters will be presented two financial proposals on next week’s ballot. One request is for an increase in the district’s operating tax levy ceiling by 47 cents from the current $2.75 per $100 assessed valuation to fund renovations and upgrades. The other proposal is a general obligation bond issue of 28 cents to pay for a new gymnasium.

In addition to the question and answer session, board members and administrators will give tours of the existing facility. The Gainesville School Election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2nd.
