North Arkansas Electric Co-op has updated their power outage report Thursday morning. According to Leah Rouse, Manager of Member Services, NAEC personnel continue to replace poles, remove downed trees and fix lines damaged by the storm that occurred early Wednesday morning. The Mountain Home district of NAEC finished restoration efforts in their area around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
As of 6 a.m. Thursday morning, power has been restored to all but 1,422 members in the Ash Flat and Salem districts. Contractors from Woodruff Electric Cooperative in Forest City, are assisting North Arkansas Electric linemen with restoration efforts. Rouse says crews are working as safely and quickly as possible and will be located in the following areas this morning: Culp, Twin Creek, Boswell, Mount Olive, Dolph, Iuka, Cherokee Village, Zion, Franklin, Grange, Hardy and Ozark Acres.
