A Mountain Home man has been arrested after failing to update his new address as a registered sex offender.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Mountain Home Police Department (MHPD) discovered 38-year-old Kevin David Smith was no longer living at the address he had registered. Smith, convicted of sexual assault in 2021, was required to notify law enforcement of any changes of information and failed to register at his six month visit with MHPD in August.
Smith is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on $4660 bond. He faces additional charges of revocation of a bench warrant, non payment of fines, probation violation, and failure to appear.
