Two people were given prison sentences during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.35-year-old Wendy Dell of Mountain Home was sentenced to 54 months behind bars after admitting she had violated the terms and conditions of her probation in a case where she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dell was sentenced in that case in April last year.

The revocation of Dell’s probation was based on new charges she picked up in Lawrence County in January.

Cody Stradford, who is an inmate in the North Central Unit of the state prison system in Calico Rock on an earlier conviction, was given four years in prison to be served concurrently with his present sentence after he pled guilty to the latest charge filed against him.

In mid-October, Stradford, who was on parole at the time, was arrested when a Baxter County Deputy Sheriff stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of a building in the 2000 block of Highway 5 North.

The 31-year-old Stradford was identified as the driver. During a search, several rounds of ammunition were found, along with a rifle wrapped in a towel. At the time, Stradford was a convicted felon and it was a violation of the law for him to possess a firearm.
