Man killed after being struck by 2 vehicles in hit-and-run at Springdale

Authorities are searching for two drivers suspected in an early morning hit-and-run resulting in the death of a man in Springdale. Thirty-nine-year-old Keith Emerson was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.

According to the news release from the Springdale Police Department, officer responded just after 2 on Saturday to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in front of the Economy Inn on West Sunset Avenue and observed a male, later identified as Emerson, lying inside the westbound lane of the road. Witnesses reported they came across the male lying in the roadway and stopped to assist. Emerson then reportedly got up, proceeded into the inside westbound lane and was struck by two separate vehicles.

Witnesses described one of the vehicles as a black four door passenger car and the other as a white four door passenger car. Both vehicles reportedly fled the scene after striking Emerson.
