The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) announced leftover wildlife management area (WMA) turkey hunt permits will be available to hunters who did not draw a permit during the regular drawing. Starting Monday morning at 8, leftover permits will be available at www.agfc.com on a first-come, first-served online sale.
The remaining permits for sale are for hunts where more permits were available than the number of people applying.
There are many hunts which do not require drawn permits because they are large enough to accommodate many hunters at a time. White Rock WMA, Muddy Creek WMA, Mount Magazine WMA and Winona WMA are open to hunting without a specially drawn permit.
Each leftover permit will require a five-dollar processing fee, and each hunter may purchase one permit for each of the remaining wildlife management area permit hunts. There is no limit to the amount of permits a hunter can buy, but several hunts are on the same days. Applicants will need to pay attention to the hunt dates and location before purchasing.
