MHHS wrestling teams finish 4th at Central Arkansas Classic

The Mountain Home High School wrestling teams wrapped up their first event of 2025 Saturday at Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood. The Bombers and Lady Bombers both finished fourth in the Central Arkansas Classic.

Mountain Home’s girls were led by Ellie McCoy, who won the 120-pound division. Olivia McCoy was second in the 130, Bailee Schaffner ended up third in the 100, Addison Pulsipher took fourth place in the 105, Eliana Pepin finished fifth in the 140, and Abby Swartz was fifth in the 145. Little Rock Central won the team title.

The Bomber boys were led by Mario Alvarez as he ended up second in the 167. Stephen Sturgess took third place in the 217, Calin Frounfelter finished third in the 287, Seth King was fourth in the 122, Mason Shimmel ended up fourth in the 146, Zane Darracq took fourth place in the 159, and Eason Recktenwald finished fifth in the 192. The team championship went to Pottsville.
