
Cotter ended up splitting four basketball games with Sloan-Hendrix at Imboden. The Warriors fell to the Greyhounds 58-42 in the senior boys’ game. Cotter did not fare any better in the senior girls’ contest as they lost to Sloan-Hendrix 56-31. Cotter’s junior boys escaped with a 27-26 win. The evening began with the Cotter junior girls topping Sloan-Hendrix 31-13.
Norfork was swept in three home games by Greers Ferry West Side. The Panthers fell to the Eagles 53-43. The night wasn’t any better for Norfork’s senior girls as they lost to West Side 63-36. The junior boys’ game started the evening as Norfork was beaten by West Side 46-26.
Flippin was swept in three basketball games by Bergman. The Bobcats lost the senior boys’ game to the Panthers 70-36. Flippin also fell to Bergman in the senior girls’ contest 81-45. The night began with Flippin’s junior girls suffering a 40-32 loss.
Yellville-Summit’s boys had a rough night on the road. The Panthers went to Mountain View and ended up falling 63-41.
The Viola girls had a dominating performance as they breezed past Koshkonong 68-40. Taylor Richardson was the Lady Longhorns’ top scorer with 30 points, Marissa Hudson ended up with 13, and Cheyenne Newberry provided 12. Viola improves to 12-11 on the season.
Salem split its high school games at home against Cave City.
The Lady Greyhounds invoked the mercy rule as they destroyed the Cavewomen 70-24. Hadley Reed paced Salem with 21 points, Jailyn Strong scored 17, and Natalie Burk added 10. The Lady Greyhounds are now 9-4 overall and 1-2 in the 3A-2.
Salem had a different result in the boys’ game. The Greyhounds fell to Cave City 49-27.
The Izard County High School teams were able to pick up a sweep at Tuckerman. The Cougars beat the Bulldogs 51-39 in the boys’ game. Izard County also won the girls’ contest 72-52.
Melbourne swept its high school games over Valley Springs. The Bearkatz took the boys’ game over the Tigers 67-55. Melbourne also topped Valley Springs in the girls’ contest 40-35.
The Marshall High School teams got swept by Cedar Ridge at Newark. The Bobcats lost the boys’ game to the Timberwolves 71-64. Cedar Ridge also won the girls’ contest overl Marshall 59-53.
Timbo had mixed results in its high school games with Shirley. The Tigers beat up on the Blue Devils in the boys’ game 80-14. Timbo’s girls were not as fortunate as they fell to Shirley 48-37.
Lead Hill had one win in three games at Kingston.
The senior boys’ game ended with the Tigers getting edged out by the Yellowjackets 66-64. Lead Hill was led by Kaden Baker with 19 points, Noah Royce recorded 14, and Coda Lemon had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The night wasn’t any better for Lead Hill’s senior girls. The Lady Tigers lost to Kingston 71-26.
Lead Hill was able to dominate the junior boys’ game over Kingston 52-23. Jacob Francis was the Junior Tigers’ leading scorer with 19 points, and Tucker Middleton finished with 16.
Omaha’s high school teams were swept at home by Jasper. The Lady Eagles fell to the Lady Pirates 52-36. Omaha also lost the boys’ game to Jasper 75-40.
Ozark Mountain was able to sweep its high school games at Decatur. The Bears put the mercy rule in effect in the boys’ game as they pounded the Bulldogs 71-35. Ozark Mountain also won the girls’ contest 55-31.
