
The Mountain Home High School baseball team was able to remain unbeaten on the season. The Bombers went to Paragould on Thursday and defeated Greene County Tech 10-3. Mountain Home improves to 5-0, and they’ll begin conference play Monday when they host Siloam Springs.
Norfork was able to pick up a win on its home baseball diamond. The Panthers shut out Jasper by a final of 10-0.
Flippin ended up with a tough day in front of the home crowd. The Bobcats suffered a 9-6 defeat to Yellville-Summit.
Viola lost a high-scoring game at Greers Ferry. The Longhorns fell to West Side 14-10.
Calico Rock was able to hang on for a win over another group of Pirates. Calico Rock squeaked by Concord 10-9.
Harrison was able to win its opener in the Prairie Grove Jamboree. The Goblins got past the host Tigers 8-6.
Ozark Mountain swept a conference doubleheader at Decatur. The Bears routed the Bulldogs 20-1 in the opener, and they also took the late game 6-1.
In softball, Norfork did not fare as well as their baseball counterparts. The Lady Panthers lost to Jasper 6-2.
Viola swept a doubleheader over Mammoth Spring. The Lady Longhorns edged out the Lady Bears 14-12 in the first game, and they also won the second contest 21-6.
Calico Rock came out on the losing end of a battle between Lady Pirates. Calico Rock fell to Concord 8-1.
Mountain View’s softball team had a rough day on its home turf. The Lady Yellowjackets lost to Cave City 12-1.
Harrison was shut out in a conference game at home. The Lady Goblins fell to Greenwood 16-0.
Ozark Mountain was dominant as they swept a doubleheader over Alpena at Harrison. The Lady Bears won with scores of 33-10 and 15-3.
