1 Marshall man killed, another among 2 injured in 2-vehicle crash

One area man was killed, and another was one of two injured in a two-vehicle crash in Carroll County early Monday morning. Nineteen-year-old Matthew Hobbs of Marshall was pronounced dead at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. Nineteen-year-old Eli Roberts of Marshall and 32-year-old Yancey Dimmett of London were transported to Washington Regional and to CoxHealth Medical Center South in Springfield.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Hobbs was the driver of a vehicle traveling on U.S. Highway 412 near Dry Fork Township, and Roberts was his passenger. Their vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle driven by Dimmett at the intersection with Carroll County Road 945.

The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 12:48 a.m. accident.
