9 area students, 4 area coaches selected for All-Star basketball rosters

The Arkansas High School Coaches Association released its rosters from the high school basketball season, and nine students and four coaches from the area are included.

Mountain Home’s Laykin Moore is one of the athletes selected for the West girls’ team. Moore is joined by three representatives from Jasper. Lyla Raulston was picked as an athlete, Laney Daniels was selected as the manager, and Ben Grice is one of the assistant coaches.

Izard County is represented by three individuals on the East side following their state championship. Quinn Johnson was picked as a player, Olivia Spray was named the manager, and David Harmon was selected as the head coach. The team also includes Rayleigh Turner of Rural Special and Macy Willis of Valley Springs.

The boys’ roster for the East has three area representatives, including two from Melbourne. Hayden Edwards was selected as an athlete, and Logan Bailey was named the head coach. They’re joined on the team by Dylan Friend of Bergman.

The West boys’ team has an area coach as a member of the staff. Harrison’s David Stahler was picked as an assistant coach.
