The Cotter School Board of Education had an eventful meeting which lasted nearly three hours Thursday as they approved many agenda items.
The board unanimously approved the 2025-26 certified personnel salary schedule which included the addition of an Esports Sponsor as well as accepting the Professional Development year as June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026.
The contract for Speech Therapy services, a quote from Renaissance for $18,156 and a quote for K-12 from IXL in the amount of $16,256 were all approved unanimously.
LaDonna Mendleski presented updated and revised Section 3 District Policies which the board approved in addition to the Financial Reports for April. Airl Cheek presented the Monthly Academic Report for May.
Unanimous approval was given for the staff recommendations submitted in the Personnel Report in addition to approving Andrew Slater as a Board Member, Jaymes Jones to a three year term on the O.U.R. Cooperative Board of Directors and presenting Luke Walker with a plaque of appreciation for his ten years of service.
The Superintendent reported Elementary Enrollment to be 378 with 319 enrolling in High School for a total of 697 students.
