A 2007 graduate of Mountain Home High School is among those honored in this year’s Arkansas Business’s 40 Under 40 for 2025.

Each year, the magazine presents its list to recognize 40 intriguing business and political leaders in the state under the age of 40. Making the list this year is Ryder Pierce, Senior Vice President and Trust & Wealth Investment Manager with Bank OZK in Little Rock.

Pierce was a standout runner for the Bombers, finishing as a state runner up in the 3200 twice in the state meet, as a state runner up his senior year in cross country and as the runner up at the Meet of Champions his senior year. He went on to run track and cross country at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock which led to his finance career.

Pierce wasn’t crazy about that job, so he left it and became a math teacher and cross country coach at Mountain Home High School from 2016-19. He led the boys team to a runner up finish in 2018 and they won a state championship in 2019. But after that season, Pierce went back into the financial world.
