The Oakland Area Improvement Association (OAIA) will host Casino Night from 6 to 8 on Saturday at the Oakland Community Center located at 6178 Promise Land Road adjacent to the fire station.The cost will be $10 per person and will include $100 worth of chips. There will be casino games appetizers, beverages and prizes.
Wanda Dissmeyer who serves on the association says events like these are part of a new iniative to strengthen the community of Oakland.

The OAIA will continue to host a farmer’s market every Saturday from 8 until noon at the Oakland Community Center. The market will include sourdough bread, raw milk, eggs, cream, butter, fruits and vegetables as well as yearling calves on site.
