
Vincent Anderson, recently designated as the Baxter County Historian, will be the featured speaker at the Baxter County Historical Society’s monthly meeting Tuesday at the Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County.
Anderson is an accomplished storyteller and author who has served as a historical consultant for the Travel Channel, SyFy Channel, Animal Planet, and the BBC. He has also served on the Governor’s Advisory Commission for the Prairie Grove Civil War Battlefield.
During the meeting, Anderson will present his research on Orrin Dodd, one of the founders of Mountain Home, whose legacy remains visible throughout the Twin Lakes area. In a recent interview with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News, Anderson shared an overview of his findings and is expected to expand on those details during the presentation.
He discusses Dodd’s prominence in the region and offers insight into his wealth and influence.
