This summer the Schliemann Center for Women’s Health Education is offering some fun and creative classes for ladies of all ages. Gladys will be teaching the class tons of new crafts such as crocheting, scrapbooking, tye dye and much more!
The Schliemann Center is also hosting Safe Sitter classes again this summer; the best babysitter is a Safe Sitter! This class teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. Boys and girls, age 11 to 13 years old, are welcome to attend the class to gain knowledge of how to handle emergencies when caring for children. Classes are held in 2-day sessions; June 19 – 20, July 10 – 11, July 24 – 25, and August 7 – 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch provided both days. The cost is $35 per student and includes completion card, messenger bag with supplies, and a Safe Sitter student manual. Scholarships are available based on financial need.
Registration is required for all classes as seating is limited. For more information on the summer classes or to register, contact Stefany Isham, SCWHE Coordinator, at 870-508-2345 or
