
Authorities recovered the body of a Baxter County man from Lake Norfork on Wednesday morning after a two-day search.The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office said 49-year-old Glenn Bradley was reported missing around 11:37 Monday night after entering the water in the Float Creek area. Bradley reportedly left a broken-down boat several hours earlier in an attempt to swim to shore near Point 5A, while another person remained aboard.Deputies searched the area by patrol boat Monday night but were unable to locate him. Efforts resumed Tuesday morning, with deputies searching by boat and helicopter, but they again found no sign of Bradley.
At about 8:10 Wednesday morning, a citizen reported finding a body floating in Float Creek. Sheriff’s deputies and personnel from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home office responded and recovered the body, which was confirmed to be Bradley, about 30 yards from shore.
The Baxter County Coroner’s Office took custody of the body, which will be sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
