The Mountain Home City Council will consider the establishment of an entertainment district in the city’s downtown area when it meets Thursday evening in regular session.Recently passed legislation allows the establishment of entertainment districts under certain restrictions where outdoor drinking is permitted. Senate bill 492, now known as Act 812, narrowly passed both chambers in early April.
Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams says the law is restrictive, allowing for an entertainment district to be created within the boundaries of a historic commercial district.
