RhinoAs Twisted Sister winds down its four-decade-long career this year with a farewell tour, the glam-metal veterans have gathered highlights from their classic 1980s albums in a new compilation called Twisted Sister: Best of the Atlantic Years. The 19-track collection, which will be released on August 28 on CD and as a digital download, features the band’s hits “I Wanna Rock” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” as well as various other memorable songs dating from 1982 through 1987.

The collection also features a previously unreleased cover of Steppenwolf‘s “Born to Be Wild,” as well as Twisted Sister’s 1985 version of girl group The Shangri-Las‘ chart-topping 1964 single “Leader of the Pack.”

Twisted Sister’s upcoming schedule includes a couple of European festivals, as well as what is being billed as the band’s final “Tri-State Area” appearance on October 1 at the Rock Carnival festival in Lakewood, New Jersey.
