Students who graduate from Mountain Home High School in 2017 will have access to free tuition at Arkansas State University Mountain Home to complete up to two years of post-secondary education funded by the Mountain Home Education Foundation.
The Mountain Home Education Foundation is partnering with Mountain Home Public Schools and Arkansas State University Mountain Home in a pilot program called The Mountain Home Promise that, Executive Director of the Mountain Home Education Foundation Mollie Morgan says, has been in the works for some time.

The Mountain Home Promise is that 2017 Mountain Home High School graduates who don’t receive enough funds through government grants or scholarships can have the remainder of their tuition paid for by the Mountain Home Education Foundation pending they complete the necessary steps. Arkansas State University Mountain Home Chancellor Dr. Robin Meyers explains.

Bob Knight, President of the Mountain Home Education Foundation since it’s creation 11 years ago, says, “the Mountain Home Education Foundation started with $0 and now has over $2 million and has provided thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to area students. To be able to do The Promise with the help of the people in the community is something I never believed would happen.”
Students who wish to apply for free tuition must graduate from Mountain Home High School, complete the FAFSA, enroll at ASUMH within one year of graduation, be accepted to ASUMH and complete and fill out an ASUMH general scholarship application.
