Capitol NashvilleLuke Bryan releases his first-ever Farm Tour EP this Friday, and he’s been giving fans on his Kill the Lights tour a preview. But he admits the first time he ever played the track “Southern Gentleman,” he hadn’t exactly planned it.

“What was funny was I totally did that performance off the cuff, so I’m glad it turned out that good… ’cause most of the time when I go off the cuff like that, I screw ’em up, you know. So I didn’t mess that one up,” he laughs.

So, what exactly is the CMA Entertainer of the Year’s definition of a “Southern Gentleman”?

“I mean, there’s a lot of parameters of that, I think. It’s just, I think, holding women in the utmost highest respect and being polite and just being a classy person is certainly a definition of a southern gentleman, and conducting yourself with manners and etiquette, and being a good person,” Luke says.

The five-song Farm Tour… Here’s to the Farmer EP comes out Friday, before Luke kicks off his 8th annual Farm Tour October 5 in Gaston, South Carolina.
