Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was in Harrison Friday as he joined local leaders for a job creation announcement. According to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), Lecheek Nutrition announced it's expanding its operations to the former Millbrook Distribution Center, investing $6.7 million in the facility and creating 100 new jobs over the next four years.
Lecheek Nutrition is a manufacturer and distributor of nutritional supplements. The company has launched five new products over the past year, and its flagship product, Speed X3, was named the Pre-Workout of the Year in 2013 by SupplementReviews.com. Products can be found at local supplement stores and online retailers, and Lecheek Nutrition's growth has been global as it's marketing to more than 20 countries.
The AEDC reports the new addition will take the total employment at the Harrison facility to more than 170 people. Governor Hutchinson told those in attendance more than 600 new jobs have been announced in the state of Arkansas along with nearly $250 million in new capital investment over the last five days.
