Baxter County candidates running for offices in the November election will be introduced Tuesday night at the Farm Bureau Candidates Forum. The forum will take place at the Baxter County Fairgrounds in the Exhibition building.
Farm Bureau will hold a members only business meeting beginning at 6. Baxter County Farm Bureau President Elliot Golmon says non Farm Bureau members are invited to attend the candidate forum after the business meeting concludes at approximately 7:30.

Golmon says the forum will allow residents to meet their candidates as there are no contested races in Baxter County.
The national race between Senator John Boozman and Connor Eldridge is the only contested race on the ballot. Golmon says invites were sent to both candidates but Boozman won’t be able to attend due to a prior engagement and as of Monday morning Eldridge had not committed.
Candidates attending are State Representative of District 100 Nelda Speaks, Baxter County Judge Mickey Pendergrass, County and Circuit Clerk Canda Reese, County Treasurer Jenay Mize, County Assessor Jayme Nicholson, County Collector Teresa Smith and State Senator Scott Flippo.
