Mountain Home School Superintendent Dr. Jake Long will host a Walk-In Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. September 28 at the district’s administration building. During the event the superintendent will be available to visit with stakeholders to discuss the district’s successes and possible areas of improvement.

Long says the school district needs the community to be involved as their eyes and ears to show them how to continue to grow and make things better for students. He says he doesn’t have all the answers or the solutions, but that he has a great team in the district and a very supportive community base who all have the common goal of wanting success for all students.

During this informal event, Long hopes to receive feedback on the district’s newly-adopted Strategic Plan and he encourages parents, community members and employees to stop by during the day to share ideas of how the district can meet the goals laid out in the plan.

He say there are experts in the community in every field and the goal is to utilize community members’ areas of expertise to make the schools stronger.

Long plans to continue the concept of Walk-In Wednesday and will host subsequent events during the school year.

The administration building is located at 2465 Rodeo Drive. For more information call 425-1201.
