An airline wants to make a presentation to Boone County about providing essential air service to Harrison following Seaport Airlines’ announcement it filed Chapter Seven bankruptcy and liquidation and would no longer provide essential air service in Harrison.
Following the announcement of Seaports Airlines’ closure, Boutique Air asked to make a presentation to the community on Tuesday afternoon, October 4, at one.
According to the Harrison Daily Times, Boone County Airport Director Jody McCutcheon says Boutique Air would like to offer two round trips daily to a major city in the south and one roundtrip daily to a hub in the east.
Boutique Air was among one of the four airlines, along with Seaport, who made proposals to the airport in 2013.
After Seaport Airlines’ bankruptcy announcement, carriers were asked to submit proposals no later than October 12. The carriers were told to prepare the proposals with the expectation it would be their final and only proposals.
