
A Baxter County man is accused of assaulting his neighbor. According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, 55-year-old Ricky Estes of rural Mountain Home Was arrested Thursday afternoon on a Class C felony count of residential burglary and a Class A misdemeanor count of third-degree battery.
Sheriff's deputies were dispatched Wednesday evening to a residence on Cochran Drive on an alleged dispute between neighbors. When the deputies arrived, the complainant said his neighbor came to his residence yelling and beating on the door. Estes allegedly made entry to the house without being invited, struck the victim in the stomach and threatened to beat him up if he called the police again. Sheriff Montgomery says a video of the incident was provided to his investigators, and after conferring with the prosecuter, Estes was arrested without incident.
Estes was released from the Baxter County Detention Center on $10,000 bond approximately two hours after being booked. He is awaiting an appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court.
