The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to County Road 51 in Newton County. The road work will include the resurfacing of two miles of County Road 51 extending from State Highway 123 westward near Yardville, according to The Arkansas State Highway Commission.
Salt Creek Paving and Construction Company of Benton was awarded the contract at $230,327. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting, with completion expected in late 2016.
