
A section of State Highway 289 north of Horseshoe Bend in Fulton County will be temporarily closed to traffic for maintenance work, according to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. The closure, which begins Monday morning at 8 and ends Friday, October 21 at 5 p.m. will effect an area between State Highway 354 and U. S. Highway 62.
Northbound motorists on highway 289 will follow a detour route from highway 354 to highway 9 and then to highway 62 east. Southbound traffic will follow a detour from U. S. Highway 62 west to highway 9 south and then to highway 354 east.
Local traffic should consider alternate routes between highway 354 and highway 62 and all drivers in the area should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
