
Pet owners in the Twin Lakes Area will join animal lovers around the world Sunday in the Annual Blessing of the Animals to be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Home. The blessing of the animals, held each year in honor of the Feast of St. Francis, will be held at 2 in the afternoon on the lawn in front of the church, according to Reverend Jim McDonald, pastor at St. Andrew’s.

Everyone in the community and their pets are welcome at the animal blessing, regardless of religious affiliation, says McDonald.

Attendees are asked to bring a cash or food donation for dogs and cats for the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas. Volunteers from the humane society will be there with dogs available for adoption.
St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church is located at 511 Coley Drive in Mountain Home. Anyone with questions may call the church office at 425-3560.
