A boil water notice has been issued by the Lakeview-Miday Public Water Authority for the area from Cedar Hills west to the end of River Road. The order was issued as a precautionary measure due to the possibility contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of a partial lossi in normal system pressure due to a break in a water main.
Under a boil water order, all affected customers must be advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption and when used for drinking or food preparation, it must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
This boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteria survey shows the water is safe to drink.
