O Sole Trio to perform Sunday at The Sheid

     The classical crossover vocal ensemble, O Sole Trio, featuring soprano Erin Shields and baritone Giuseppe Spoletini, accompanied by David Shenton on piano and violin, will be performing Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the campus of ASU Mountain Home. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for students and may be purchased online at www.thesheid.com, by phone at 508-6280 or in person at the box office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

     The trio has performed to sold out audiences at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Their program, From Pavarotti to Pop, features beloved Italian arias, Neapolitan songs and pop standards from Frank Sinatra, Connie Francis and Andrea Bocelli.

     A graduate of the Indiana University School of Music, Shields studied voice in Vienna, Austria. She has performed with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and has released a CD, I’D RATHER BE LONGLY, featuring songs from the Great American Songbook.

     Canadian Spoletini has performed throughout his home country and the United States. When not performing he gives private voice lessons and teaches voice at east coast schools, conservatories and summer programs. He has recorded his first CD NOW SINGS MY SOUL.

     London born Shenton studied violin and piano at The Royal College of Music in London where he graduated with highest honors. A prolific arranger, having worked for Abbey Road and CTS Studios in London, on Hollywood movies and shows on Broadway and in London.
