
As the second week of early voting in Arkansas began Monday for the November 8 General Election, voters across the Twin Lakes Area continued to flock to the polls in high numbers. Baxter County Clerk Canda Reese reports 838 voters cast ballots at the two Baxter County locations, the courthouse and Twin Lakes Plaza Monday. So far, 6,015 registered voters, or nearly 21 percent, have cast early ballots in Baxter County.
In Fulton County, 1,305 voters have cast early ballots so far and in Izard County, 922 early votes have been cast.
Early voting in the state will continue until Monday, November 7 at 5 p.m. In Baxter County, early voting is at the courthouse Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at Twin Lakes Plaza Monday through Friday from 10 am. to 4 p.m. Marion County and Fulton County voters can cast their ballots during the early voting period at their county courthouses Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Izard County voters can vote early at Ozarka College in Melbourne Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Early voting will also take place in Horseshoe Bend on Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
