The Donald W. Reynolds library will be hosting a blacksmithing demonstration and a basket weaving workshop Saturday as part of the Arkansas Heritage program series. The event kicks off at 11:00 in the morning with Arkansas Blacksmiths. They will discuss the traditions of blacksmithing and demonstrate techniques in the art of forging iron.
The basket weaving workshop will begin at 2:00 in the afternoon. The class is appropriate for both boys and girls in grades 4 through 6. Registration is recommended by visiting baxlib.org or calling 870-580-0987 extension 2032.
All programs are offered at no cost. THe Donald W. Reynolds Library is located at 300 Library Hill in Mountain Home.
