The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Searcy County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.
The purpose of the project is to construct and install a traffic signal at the intersection of U. S. Highway 65 and Zack Road in Marshal.
The contract for $141,377 was awarded to All Service Electric, Inc. of Hot Springs.
Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting with completion expected late next year.
