
Starz Entertainment LLCJust a reminder that the new Rolling Stones documentary, The Rolling Stones Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America, gets its television premiere on the Starz cable network this Sunday, January 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The movie, which got its theatrical premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, follows The Rolling Stones during their 2016 América Latina Olé tour. The trek visited 10 cities during February and March, and culminated with a historic free performance in Havana, Cuba, on March 25 in front of hundreds of thousands of fans. The documentary also takes a behind-the-scenes look at the organization of the Cuba concert, and includes interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, as well as the tour’s promoter and others involved in the production.
In addition, the new Rolling Stones concert film Havana Moon will premiere on Starz one week after Olé Olé Olé!, on Sunday, January 22, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This movie focuses solely on the band’s Havana concert, and includes performances of such classic songs as “Brown Sugar,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Paint It, Black,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
The Rolling Stones Havana Moon got its theatrical premiere in September as a one-night-only screening event at a variety of cinemas. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray in November.
Paul Dugdale directed both movies, which also will be made available for streaming and download starting January 15 via the Starz app.
