A 40-year-old Alma woman, Summer Marie Jones also known as Summer Overmyer, was arrested Monday night on felony charges of residential burglary, public intoxication and other misdemeanor charges, after she was found naked at a residence at 82 Ravenwood Lane in Midway. According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Jones is being held in the Baxter County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Officers responded to a call at 10:48 Monday evening when the homeowners arrived after shopping and heard a noise. When they went inside and opened their bedroom door they discovered Jones walking around the room naked and throwing objects. Jones then ran outside and jumped into their pickup truck and threw a purse and softdrink at the caller. She then Jones jumped out of the truck and ran to another residence at 150 Ravenwood Lane and knocked on the door. The homeowner answered and Jones came inside asking for help. Baxter County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Gates discovered her there and placed her under arrest.
An investigation of the scene at 82 Ravenwood Lane showed Jones gained entry into the residence by tampering with the door plunger. She allegedly broke mirrors in both bedrooms of the house and threw electronics on the floor. Property damage is estimated to be $1,000.
Sheriff Montgomery says Jones is believed to have been under the influence of Methamphetamine.
She was charged with felony residential burglary, criminal mischief, two counts of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. She is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on January 26th.
