Saturday’s basketball schedule includes a pair of tournaments coming to an end.
Three area boys teams will finish play in the Sparta Trojans Basketball Classic. Bakersfield and Gainesville will tip off in the seventh place game at one p.m., and Forsyth meets Fordland for third place at 4:00.
The championship games of the Izard County Invitational Tournament will be held in the Harold Ray Jeffrey Gymnasium at Calico Rock. The junior girls’ game starts at 4:00 between the host Junior Lady Pirates and Melbourne, Mammoth Spring and Izard County are to play for the junior boys’ title at 5:15, the senior girls’ final will be between Izard County and Melbourne at 6:30, and Izard County competes for the senior boys’ championship at 8:00 against Cave City.
