
Cotter finished with one win in three basketball games Tuesday against Yellville-Summit.
The senior boys’ game was the lone win for the Warriors as the defeated the Panthers 54-29. Maddux Adams was Cotter’s leading scorer with 15 points, and Cole Adams chipped in ten.
It was a different result in the senior girls’ contest as Cotter lost to Yellville-Summit 63-33. Justina Jenkins paced the Lady Panthers with 12 points.
The evening began with Cotter’s junior girls falling to Yellville-Summit 41-19. The Junior Lady Panthers were led by Leah Still with 15 points, and Mariah Crespino ended up with 11.
Flippin lost a pair of high school games at Mammoth Spring.
The boys’ game ended with the Bobcats falling to the Bears 55-28. Sagen Godwin was Mammoth Spring’s top scorer with 13 points, and Baylee Mills added 12. The Bears improve to 21-7 on the year and 10-3 in the 2A/1A-3.
Flippin also lost the senior girls’ game to Mammoth Spring 56-27. Lauren Mitchell led the Lady Bears with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Stephine Henry scored 12 points.
Mammoth Spring heads to Brockwell on Thursday to wrap up district play against Izard County.
Gainesville’s boys were able to escape with a victory. The Bulldogs squeaked by Seymour 52-51.
Mountain Home Christian Academy was able to sweep a pair of home games over Trinity Christian Academy.
The Eagles took the varsity game by a final of 75-64. Matt Woods provided a triple double for Mountain Home Christian with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, and Cooper Long chipped in 20 points.
Mountain Home Christian was all over Trinity Christian 43-13 in the junior varsity contest. The J.V. Eagles were led by Jack Wendfeldt with 12 points, and Trenton Cox ended up with 11.
