Mtn. Home woman re-appears in circuit court

    Dawn Marie Hart-Groh of Mountain Home made a reappearance in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday in a case filed against her alleging that she used the identify of another person to create credit card accounts or to gain other funds by using the individual’s personal information.

    A search warrant was served on the 34-year-old Hart-Groh’s residence on January 13th. According to investigative records, a number of items related to the victim were located including a credit card in the victim’s name.

    Evidence also showed that packages addressed to the victim had been delivered to Hart-Groh’s residence. According to court records, Hart-Groh had also assisted the victim in an attempt to secure a college loan. The victim told police she never received the proceeds of the loan. When college officials were contacted, however, they indicated that nearly $4,000 had been sent, but had been sent to Hart-Groh’s residence.

    Hart-Groh is charged with financial identity fraud and theft by receiving. She is free on $20,000 bond.

    Pre-trial motions in the case are scheduled to be heard on May 11th.
