Entertainment OneChickenfoot‘s upcoming Best + Live compilation, which will be released on March 10, kicks off with the rock supergroup’s first new song in more than five years, “Divine Termination.” Now, fans can check out the hard-pounding rock tune in its entirety at the band’s SoundCloud page.
“Divine Termination” also was made available to radio stations this week. The song is highlighted by frontman Sammy Hagar‘s gritty vocals and a wailing solo by guitarist Joe Satriani. Fans pre-ordering the digital version of Best + Live will immediately receive a free download of “Divine Termination.”
Chickenfoot, which also features ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, will release a video for the new tune this Monday.
As previously reported, Best + Live is a two-CD set that — in addition to “Divine Termination” — features a selection of memorable tracks from Chickenfoot’s two studio albums and live performances captured at two March 2016 reunion concerts that Chickenfoot played at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada. The compilation also features several bonus live tracks recorded at a 2009 Phoenix show.
