
A Peel man, 39-year-old Lance Dell, was arrested recently on felony drug and firearms possession after an alleged drug transaction in Yellville. According to Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans and Flippin Police Chief Dusty Smith, the arrest stems from a joint investigation by both Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Flippin Police Department. Bond for Dell was set at $100,000. He has been released and is scheduled to make an appearance in Marion County Circuit Court.
During the course of the investigation officers conducted surveillance and located Dell, along with two other passengers, leaving the location of the narcotics transaction. When they tried to pull Dell over he refused to stop. His vehicle was eventually blocked in by police approximately a quarter mile from where the traffic stop initiated.
Once arrested officers discovered narcotics, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded pistol. Lance Dell was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with simultaneous possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, delivery of methamphetamine and misdemeanor fleeing.
