The Yellville-Summit High School boys’ basketball team picked up another 4A/3A-2 district victory on Tuesday by defeating Valley Springs 67-41. Cameron Curtis led the Panthers with 24 points, and Seth Evans added 16. For the Tigers, Daulton Audeoud scored 14 points.



Mammoth Spring was able to pick up a sweep at home over Maynard.

The boys’ game ended with the Bears routing the Tigers 66-39. Mammoth Spring was led by Sagen Godwin with 20 points, Logan Skaggs had 15, and Baylee Mills chipped in 13. The Bears improve to 22-8 on the season.

The evening began with Mammoth Spring’s girls topping Maynard 68-46. Brianna Hocum paced the Lady Bears with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Lauren Mitchell finished with ten points.

Mammoth Spring will finish the regular season on Friday when they host Lead Hill.



Izard County came away with sweep over Hillcrest Tuesday in Brockwell.

The mercy rule went into effect in the boys’ game as the Cougars beat up on the Screamin’ Eagles 73-41. Taylor Reynolds was Izard County’s top scorer with 20 points, Justus Cooper ended up with 14, and Tanner Brooks added 13. The Cougars are now 27-9 on the year.

Izard County’s girls were also able to invoke the mercy rule sa they pounded Hillcrest 63-31. The Lady Cougars were led by Kennedy Cooper with 24 points. Izard County’s record stands at 27-5.
