
Thirteen building permits were issued by the City of Mountain Home during the month of January, according to Roberta Pack from the City of Mountain Home Building Inspection Department.
A new commercial construction permit issued to Bryan Bell Construction for a wellness center for the Good Samaritan Society at a construction cost of $700,000. A permit for one residential new construction permit for a duplex at 111 and 131 East Second Street was issued to Dream House Designs at a construction value of $175,000 and a residential addition was issued to Bradford Construction at a construction cost of $15,000.
A permit for construction of a detached storage building at a construction cost of $2,705 was issued to John Scairpon and a permit for construction of a detached garage with a construction value of $1,300 was issued to Chester Rout.
Eight sign permits were issued in January including Mountain Home Glass at a constriction cost of $2,900; T. J. Maxx, with a construction value of $200; Angie’s Closet with a construction cost of $6,608; First Arkansas Bail Bonds with a value of $800;a total of ten signs to McDonalds with a total construction value of $24,000; the Stage Store for three signs with a total construction value of $1,000; This and That LLC for a sign with a construction value of $1,000; and Anstaff Bank for two signs with a total construction value of $20,000.
The total value of the 13 permits issued in January was over $949,500.
Cost of all permits issued for the month of January totaled over $4,800 including $$2,500 for the actual cost for the building permits, $140 for electrical permits, $320 for mechanical permits and $1,640 for plumbing permits, $75 for zoning and $130 in mowing charges.
The city building and inspection department handled 67 inspections during the month of January.
