Basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule.
The Gainesville High School girls will return to Seymour to continue pool play in the Lady Tiger Invitational Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs face the host team at six p.m.
Also on the high school level, Dora’s girls travel to Cabool.
In junior high basketball, the Northwest Arkansas Classic gets underway at Harrison. Both of Mountain Home’s freshmen teams will be paired with Farmington starting with the girls at 4:00, and Harrison will have back-to-back games against Providence at 6:30.
The semifinals of the 2A/1A-3 Junior District Tournament will be held at Izard County High School in Brockwell. In the girls’ games, top-seeded Viola and Calico Rock tip off at 4:30, and Norfork takes on Flippin at 7:00. In boys’ action, Viola plays the number one seed and host Izard County at 5:45, and Salem will be matched up with Mammoth Spring at 8:15.
The championship games of the 1A-1 Northwest Junior Conference Tournament will be played at Alpena, and both of Omaha’s teams will be paired with the host Junior Leopards. The girls’ game tips off at 6:00 followed by the boys’ contest at 7:00.
Both of Western Grove’s teams will be on their home floor for the title games of the 1A-1 East Junior Conference Tournament. The Junior Lady Warriors face Jasper at 6:00, and the Western Grove boys take on Deer at 7:00.
