Twin Lakes Area Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be going door-to-door Saturday collecting food as part of their annual Scouting For Food community good turn project. Food will also be collected by the scouts at local Harp’s grocery stores from 8 in the morning until noon.

Kevin Campbell, Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 156, says not only will food be collected locally, it will be distributed locally as well.

Last Saturday thousands of Scouts dropped off empty bags at residences across the Twin Lakes Area including Mountain Home, Flippin, Harrison, Bull Shoals and Yellville. The bags have instructions and suggested food items printed on them. The scouts will return to those residences, after noon, Saturday when they are finished with collecting the food from Harp’s locations.
