
The Mountain Home High School boy’s basketball team opened play in the 6A East Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon at West Memphis on a rough note. Brad Haworth has the details.

West Memphis jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead and never looked back en route to a 49-24 win over the Bombers. Mountain Home started the game by going 6:22 without scoring and struggled from the field most of the game. West Memphis had a 20-6 lead at halftime.
Garret Dietsche was Mountain Home’s leading scorer with eight points. The Bombers fall to 10-17 on the season.
West Memphis got 14 points from Damorious Hudson as they improve to 22-5.
Mountain Home will travel to Pine Bluff Tuesday night in a do or die game. The winner clinches a spot in the state tournament while the loser has their season ended.
