
Students from the Pinkston Middle School Junior Bomb Squad robotics team traveled to Wyoming where they claimed the title of Wyoming State FIRST Technical Challenge Champions Saturday. Meredith Novak, President of Arkansas FIRST and FIRST Regional Director says this is the second championship victory for the team, who won the Arkansas FIRST Technical Challenge in December.

The team, who won the event held in Casper, were alliance partners with two teams from Wyoming, says Novak.

The Jr. Bomb Squad may be invited to the FIRST Robotics International Competition in Houston where the Mountain Home High School Bomb Squad will be competing, according to Novak.
The two teams are part of FIRST which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST teams build robots which and compete against other robots various games and challenges.
