The Gainesville High School boys’ basketball team watched its season come to an end in the first round of the Class 2, District 4 Tournament at Sparta. The Bulldogs fell to Mansfield 76-28. Gainesville’s final record is 9-18.
Dora’s girls were eliminated from the Class 1, District 4 Tournament in Bakersfield. The Lady Falcons lost in the semifinals to top-seeded Bradleyville 61-57. Dora’s season ends with a mark of 13-13.
Two area girls’ teams were one and done in the Class 3, District 11 Tournament at Fair Grove.
Hollister began the tournament with an 84-17 loss at the hands of top-seeded Strafford. The Lady Tigers finish the campaign at 7-18.
Forsyth was bounced from the tournament later in the evening as Clever posted the 65-32 decision. The Lady Panthers’ season ends at 14-12.
