Shoplifter caught with drugs

     A Viola man, 26-year-old Tyler Joe Wheeler, who has had multiple run-ins with the law related to drugs and theft dating back to 2012 and is currently on parole, was arrested again Wednesday by Mountain Home Police on drug charges while allegedly shoplifting at a local business. According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manual, Wheeler was arrested for felony possession of meth, drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor shoplifting. His bond is set at $3,010 with a hold for the parole violation.
     Manual says Wheeler was still inside the store when he was arrested and detained by an off-duty Baxter County Sheriff's Deputy. During a search, a substance believed to be meth and drug paraphernalia were located.
     According to the Baxter County Sheriff's website, Wheeler's court date is scheduled for February 28th.
