
Bobby Nelson of Gassville changed his plea to guilty on drug-related charges and was put on probation for 60 months.
According to the the probable cause affidavit, the 1999 pickup truck driven by the 50-year-old Nelson had been stopped by an Arkansas State Police trooper on May 9th last year. Subsequent to the stop, the vehicle was towed to a secure location and a search warrant obtained.
During the search, officers found 69 hydrocodone tablets in a prescription bottle with the label removed, and a clear plastic bag containing a crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe often used to ingest methamphetamine.
